In this IoT projects, I have shown you how to make the smart home using Arduino IoT Cloud ESP32 Alexa control relay with IR remote and DHT11 temperature sensor to control relays with voice commands and manual switches. I have used all the FREE tools for this IoT-based home automation system.

Get IR Remote Hex Code for ESP32 control relay

Important points for this ESP32 project:
1. Here I have used the FREE plan of Arduino IoT cloud, so you can control maximum 5 relays or sensors with the FREE plan.
2. You don't need any Alexa devices like Echo Dot. You can just use Amazon Alexa App for this Arduino IoT project.
3. After compiling the code, you have to press and hold the BOOT button of ESP32 until the code starts uploading.
4. You can also use Arduino Web Editor to program the ESP32.
5. You will get real-time feedback if the ESP32 connected to the internet.
6. Please take proper safety precautions while working with high voltage.

During the Arduino IoT cloud tutorial video, I have explained all the steps to make this ESP32 smart home system with Arduino IoT Cloud to control the home appliances with and without the internet. I have also shown how to connect Amazon Alexa with Arduino Cloud to control the relays with voice commands. If the ESP32 connected with WiFi, then you can control the relays from anywhere in the world with the Arduino IoT Cloud Remote app and Alexa. And if there is no internet, still you can control the relays manually with IR remote and switch. So with this smart house project, you can convert any appliance to IoT devices and control them through the internet.

So, now you can just say "Alexa, turn on Light" to control the home appliances.
