Having a look at the (simple) circuit and the (rather large) code …
↓↓↓ Complete description, time index and links below ↓↓↓

In part 1 (link below) we’ve talked about how these Hall Effect rotary position sensors work in principle and had some fun playing with one. Now it’s time to go over the circuit and to walk through the code that makes everything tick (link below).

The circuit is a rather simple affair: Three voltage dividers to get from the 5V of the Arduino to the 3.3V of the Allegro A1334, and two decoupling capacitors. The code on the other hand is a totally different affair: I made a layer cake.

00:00 Intro – continuing where we left off in the first part
01:15 Circuit – Arduino, A1334, six resistors and two capacitors
04:54 Code – a nicely structured layer cake
31:24 Wrap-up – next time the PII bus on the scope, promise, bye
